Next meeting:

December 11, 2017

  1. Old Business
  • Rome School District no longer wants to maintain our fields for the right to use them.  They would like a proposal/written agreement with RGSL for use of our fields prior to Spring 2018 season.  Options were outlined in October meeting minutes.  It was discussed that a list of expenses should be documented, i.e. list of equipment (mowers, dragged, weed eater, etc.), their maintenance plans and useful life to support our proposal for the school.  Responsibility for dragging and lining the fields for school practices and games also needs to be spelled out in the proposal.
  1. New Business - Discussion
  • New Vendor for Umpires – Jerry Closinski needs number of games last year Spring and Summer with one umpire and number of games with two umpires to share with potential vendors.
  • County Land Lease – Tim Safin  was contacted by Linda Lark, Oneida County, to obtain proof of RGSL insurance and to renew 5 year lease for property on which the fields exist.
  • Maintenance of RGSL Property – It was discussed that the men’s bathroom door is in need of repair.
  • Not for Profit Status – It was discussed that RGSL would like to obtain not for profit status.  It was discussed that we should consult with a lawyer to complete the application paperwork.  It was also discussed that meeting minutes and treasurer’s reports are routinely documented and available for review.
  • Dean Millington agreed to be Fields and Grounds Chairperson for 2018.
